Greetings and welcome to my homepage.

I am an assistent professor at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Konstanz. I work at the chair of ethics and moral philosophy with Jacob Rosenthal.

My work centers on foundational questions in moral philosophy at the intersection between metaethics, normative ethics, philosophical anthropology, and the history of moral philosophy. In recent years, I have been working on a book project that develops a comprehensive theory of the Subject Matter of Morality. Lately, I’ve also developed a strong interest in pragmatism, exploring both its historical roots (in figures like Hegel, Peirce, and Wittgenstein) and its current prospects.

These days, I think a lot about inferentialism, the nature of moral normativity, the gap between humans and other animals, and Wittgenstein’s view of human language. After submitting my book manuscript in summer 2025, I plan to turn to Brandom’s interpretation of Hegel and to the roots of pragmatism.
